Rural Dream is a registered NGO/INGO working since 1999, focusing on holistic rural and community development across Nepal. We believe in grassroots action, local partnerships, and sustainable change led by and for the people.

We deliver targeted programs and services to meet real community needs:

📚 Education & Literacy

Goal: Empower individuals through learning at all life stages.

  • Community Schools: These are local schools that provide basic education to children in underserved areas. They often operate with community support and adapt to local needs.

  • Adult Literacy: Helps adults learn to read and write, often improving their ability to work, manage finances, and participate in civic life.

  • Scholarships: Financial assistance given to deserving students to continue their education, especially where cost is a barrier.


💧 Water, Sanitation & Hygiene (WASH)

Goal: Improve health and living conditions through better water and hygiene.

  • Clean Water Access: Projects to provide safe drinking water via wells, filters, or piped systems.

  • Toilets: Building or upgrading sanitation facilities to prevent disease and promote dignity.

  • Hygiene Education: Teaching handwashing, menstrual hygiene, and safe water practices to reduce illness.


🧵 Livelihoods & Skill Training

Goal: Help individuals earn a sustainable income and become self-reliant.

  • Vocational Training: Teaches practical job skills such as tailoring, carpentry, or computer use.

  • Women’s Cooperatives: Groups where women work together for shared economic benefits, like producing crafts or food products.

  • Microfinance: Small loans and savings programs that help people start or grow small businesses.


🏥 Health & Nutrition

Goal: Ensure access to essential health services and proper nutrition.

  • Clinics: Provide basic healthcare services, vaccinations, and treatment for common illnesses.

  • Maternal Care: Focuses on safe pregnancy, childbirth, and postnatal care for mothers and infants.

  • Malnutrition Prevention: Includes feeding programs, nutrition education, and monitoring child growth.


🌾 Agriculture & Food Security

Goal: Support farmers and ensure stable food supplies.

  • Organic Farming: Promotes sustainable, chemical-free farming practices.

  • Agri-Tech: Introduces modern tools and technologies to improve farming efficiency and yields.

  • Climate-Smart Training: Prepares farmers to adapt to climate change with resilient crops and methods.


🛖 Housing & Infrastructure

Goal: Improve living conditions and community resilience.

  • Rural Electrification: Bringing electricity to remote areas, often through solar or mini-grid solutions.

  • Road Access: Building or improving roads to connect villages with markets, schools, and clinics.

  • Disaster Resilience: Strengthening homes and infrastructure to withstand floods, storms, and earthquakes.

    Clean Villages Campaign

    Youth2Work Skill Hub

    Focus: Youth employment and skill development
    Impact:

    • 1,200+ rural youth trained in vocational skills like electrical work, tailoring, IT, and hospitality

    • Helped bridge the gap between education and employment

    • Boosted income opportunities and reduced rural unemployment


    Healthy Mother, Healthy Child Initiative

    Focus: Maternal and child healthcare
    Impact:

    • Improved maternal health services in 80 villages

    • Offered prenatal checkups, nutrition guidance, and safe delivery support

    • Reduced maternal and infant mortality through education and access to care
