Krishi Bikas is a non-governmental, non-profit organization working to uplift smallholder farmers, promote sustainable agriculture, and enhance rural livelihoods in Nepal. Our mission is to create an ecosystem where agriculture becomes a tool of empowerment and economic resilience.

कृषि विकास एउटा यस्तो संस्था हो जुन साना किसानहरूको जीवनस्तर सुधार्न, दिगो कृषि प्रवर्द्धन गर्न र ग्रामीण समुदायहरूलाई आत्मनिर्भर बनाउन समर्पित छ।

We believe that agriculture is not just about food production—it's about dignity, opportunity, and development.

Founded in 2012, Krishi Bikas was born out of a shared vision among agri-scientists, youth entrepreneurs, and community leaders. Our team brings together a wealth of experience in agricultural innovation, education, and grassroots mobilization.

हामीले थालनी गरेका थियौं केही किसान र एकजना कृषि प्राविधिकको मिलनबाट। आज हामी देशभर ३५ जिल्लामा कार्यरत छौं।
We work with over 10,000 farmers, cooperatives, and youth across Nepal, particularly in the hills and Tarai, where the potential for organic farming, permaculture, and agro-entrepreneurship remains untapped.

  1. Capacity Building for Farmers
    We provide hands-on training in modern, climate-smart, and organic farming techniques. From composting to crop rotation, drip irrigation to seed preservation—we equip farmers to farm better, earn more.

  2. Farmer Cooperatives & Microfinance
    We help form farmer cooperatives and link them with credit institutions, insurance providers, and local markets.

हामी किसान समूह बनाएर तिनीहरूलाई सहकारीमा परिणत गर्छौं। यसले उनीहरूको आर्थिक पहुँच विस्तार गर्छ।

  1. Agri-Tech Innovation
    Krishi Bikas runs digital literacy programs and promotes the use of mobile-based applications for market prices, pest control tips, and weather updates.

  2. Women in Agriculture
    We support female farmers through women-led farming groups, gender-inclusive training, and kitchen garden initiatives.

  3. Post-Harvest and Market Linkages
    We establish rural collection centers, cold storages, and direct market access so that farmers get fair prices for their produce.

Volunteers can contribute by:

  • Conducting field research and surveys

  • Assisting in training sessions

  • Supporting digital awareness and app development

  • Creating video and social media content for farmer education
